Sometimes a single moment changes everything.

For me, this moment came in the middle of the night.

As a passionate athlete – triathlon, open-water swimming, cycling marathons – my body was my home. Performance, endurance, and breathing were second nature. Until, completely unexpectedly, in mid/late 2024, I suffered a pulmonary embolism with a bilateral pulmonary infarction . Suddenly, there was no air. No rhythm. No trust in my own body.

Looking back, the doctors told me that my fitness and exceptional VO₂ levels had saved my life. Those words are seared into my memory – especially because my best friend had been less fortunate a year earlier and didn't survive his pulmonary embolism.

My biggest wish after leaving the hospital was clear: to be able to breathe freely again. To live again. To get back to sports.
But the road back was significantly longer, harder, and more emotional than I had ever imagined.

I was not alone during that time.

My wife and longtime friend – a multiple world and European kickboxing champion – accompanied me on this journey back. She supported me both physically and mentally, just as I had previously supported her in preparing for one of her title wins in Mallorca. We both knew: without focus, without breath, without inner strength, there is no performance – in sports and in life.

A decisive impetus came in February 2025.
Christoph Budavari, personal trainer and now the founding father of AIRBOOST , told me about his idea:
A herbal inhaler that allows people to breathe more freely anytime and anywhere – completely without dependence on nasal sprays or chemical inhalers.

For me it was immediately clear:

Out of thin air, a vision suddenly arose.

Together, we developed AIRBOOST from the ground up – with the highest standards for effectiveness, naturalness, and design. From the careful selection of herbs to packaging, appearance, and name, right through to the brand philosophy: AIRBOOST was designed to be honest, clear, and made for people.

Finally, in January 2025, AIRBOOST GmbH was founded.
And what began as a personal story became reality:
